I. Overview
Fligence Planning is a powerful scenario analysis tool that empowers airline network planners to evaluate the impact of schedule modifications and changes in airline relationships. It also supports airport ASD teams in developing new service proposals for airlines. The workflow typically involves four key steps: input data preparation, model execution, output summary, and scenario comparison.
Input Data Preparation
During the input data preparation phase, you can make various adjustments to flight schedules, codeshares involving host airlines, their partners, or competitors, populate total market size data, and define additional airline relationships as needed. This step serves as the foundation for the subsequent analysis.
Model Execution
In the model execution phase, you can fine-tune several critical parameters, including QSI coefficients, traffic and fare adjustments, and demand constraints and variations. The system will construct single and double connections using the modified schedules and other airlines schedules and calculate market share, revenue and profit for each true Origin and Destination (O&D) and segment.
Output Summary
In the output verification phase, you can access a range of comprehensive output summary reports, including:
- O&D Summary: Providing an overview of key insights and statistics for each O&D market.
- Segment Summary: Offering a detailed breakdown of results for individual segments within the network.
- Flight Summary: Summarizing the performance and characteristics of each flight within the schedule.
- Codeshare Summary
: Presenting a consolidated view of codeshare agreements and their impact.
Scenario Comparison
The scenario comparison stage involves assessing the consequences of schedule modifications or changes in airline relationships by conducting a comparative analysis of the “before” and “after” scenarios. This allows you to gauge the impact of you decisions and make informed adjustments to optimize network planning.
