Fligence Alliance is a powerful scenario analysis model designed to empower airline or alliance analysts to evaluate the impact of shift in airline alliance relationships. The process typically involves five key steps (see Figure 1): input data preparation, base scenario model execution, input data modification, new scenario model execution, and scenario comparison. Normally, you would execute Step 1 and Step 2 once to establish a baseline case. Subsequently, Steps 3 through 5 can be repeated multiple times for the analysis of various scenarios.
Fligence Alliance is closely related to Fligence Planning, another scenario analysis tool tailored for airline customers. If you encounter a link in this guide that direct you to a Fligence Planning page, it indicates that the two products share the same function.
Input Data Preparation
During the input data preparation phase, you can make various adjustments to flight schedules, codeshares involving host airlines, their partners, or competitors, populate total market size data, and define additional airline relationships as needed. This step serves as the foundation for the subsequent analysis.
Model Execution
In the model execution phase, you can fine-tune several critical parameters, including QSI coefficients, traffic and fare adjustments, and demand constraints and variations. The system will construct single and double connections using the modified schedules and calculate market share and revenue for each true Origin and Destination (O&D) and segment.
Scenario Comparison
The scenario comparison stage involves assessing the consequences of schedule modifications or changes in airline relationships by conducting a comparative analysis of the “before” and “after” scenarios. This allows you to gauge the impact of airline relationship or schedule changes.
Output Summary
In the output verification phase, you can access a range of comprehensive output summary reports by alliance or airline.
