FlightBI was pleased to attend and sponsor the 2026 Air Service Data Seminar (ASD) in New Orleans, hosted by Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) and organized by ACI-NA.

Throughout the seminar, we had the opportunity to connect with airport and consultant teams and provide quick, hands-on demonstrations of Fligence ZIP-OD, our origin-destination and catchment intelligence platform. Many of the conversations focused on how airports are increasingly expected to respond to airline questions with defensible, timely, and intuitive market insights, often in live meetings rather than weeks later.

One highlight of this year’s program was the dedicated session on using cell phone data for catchment studies. This topic closely aligns with the analytical foundation of Fligence ZIP-OD, which leverages anonymized mobile device data to help airports better understand true passenger origins, travel behavior, and market leakage. Seeing this methodology discussed openly at ASD reinforced the growing industry shift toward more dynamic and behavior-based approaches to catchment analysis.

The discussions at ASDS 2026 underscored a broader theme: air service development is evolving quickly. Airports are being asked to move faster, support decisions with stronger evidence, and clearly communicate market opportunities to airline partners. Tools that translate complex data into intuitive, actionable insights are becoming increasingly essential in that process.

We would like to thank ACI-NA for organizing another impactful Air Service Data Seminar and MSY for hosting the event. We appreciate everyone who stopped by to share perspectives and look forward to continuing the conversations in the months ahead.
